ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN POSITION

Great Lakes Equine Wellness Center has the perfect job for you. We are seeking
a full-time associate veterinarian for our well-established / growing equine
referral practice. Interested individuals must be motivated team players. Experience
in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation (animal chiropractic) desired for an established
clientele. All candidates will be considered.
GLEWC is currently a 5-doctor ambulatory practice with 24-hour
emergency care with hospital facilities and elective surgery,
as well as state-of-the-art digital radiography, endoscopy /
gastroscopy, ultra-sonography, shockwave, reproductive management
of mares and stallions and embryo transfer. GLEWC also acts as
referral hospital to the greater Green Bay / Fox Valley Wisconsin
area. We have fully equipped ambulatory vehicles enabling us
to practice quality medicine utilizing a well-equipped hospital.
Our facility features 14 stalls, small arena for lameness evaluations,
surgical suite, breeding dummy, reproductive laboratory, several
paddocks and an in house laboratory. Our clientele includes all
equine sports disciplines as well as the backyard horse. Our
doctors are encouraged to develop areas of interest including
lameness, internal medicine, reproduction, surgery, etc. Our
technicians and support staff provide each doctor with excellent
technical support. This position requires limited night and weekend

TECHNICIAN POSITION
Individual needed to provide support to the doctors, be responsible
for proper completion of the admissions and discharges of patients
being dropped off, arriving for In-Clinic appointments, emergencies,
patients being picked up or leaving from In-Clinic appointments,
perform support activities on a daily basis to contribute to
the demand of the business without jeopardizing the quality of
service provided, be responsible for providing client/patient
services to achieve quality of service and standards required
within the company guidelines, assist the doctors with appointments,
ensure In-Hospital patient care; assist doctors with emergency
situations.
Minimum of two years experience as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant.
Minimum of five years horse handling experience. High School
Diploma or GED required.
Must have full body movement; standing, sitting, bending, twisting
and stretching. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to restrain
horses of various sizes. Must be able to communicate on all business
levels: verbally, reading,
writing and spelling.
