When should I give my horse vaccines?
The timing
of vaccines is based upon several things including the age of
your horse, how often they travel or see other horses and what
their immune system is like. In general, spring vaccines
can be given between March and May. It is best to give them
prior to the mosquito population hatching, so that they can be
protected from the mosquite borne diseases (EEE, WEE and West Nile
Virus). Their fall vaccines should be scheduled 6 months
from the spring vaccines (September to November).
